Kind Leaders Get Things Done More Easily and Quickly

There’s a myth that leaders have to be authoritarian in order to be taken seriously or get anything done. In my experience, the best leaders are compassionate and strive to build supportive, nurturing workplaces.
I think most of the dictatorial behavior we see in our workplaces comes from deep insecurity and a mistaken notion that you can’t motivate people if you’re nice. The opposite is true: Anything a strict leader does can be done by a person being kind. You can give the same orders and ask for the same things, the only difference is you’ll be a more positive person in one scenario.
When it comes to build a supportive, nurturing workplace, you can get things done more easily and quickly if you just behave kindly and with empathy.
