Motivate Employees with Kindness

Way too many leaders create workplace cultures that are punitive and harsh and then wonder why their employees aren’t motivated. In my experience, there is a much better way of doing things: Being kind.
When you behave with kindness, you’ll build a supportive and nurturing workplace culture that leads to motivated, happy, productive employees who get a lot done because they’re treated well and feel valued.
A great way to get started being kind to employees is to praise them verbally: notice something positive they’re doing and say something uplifting. Also, always make sure to treat people with the utmost empathy and care.
The reason I know that being kind works is that, throughout the course of my consulting career, I’ve noticed that organizations that prioritize kindness are much happier and productive than those that don’t.
Let’s work together to foster a supportive and nurturing workplace culture in your organization.
