If you set up a workplace culture where people are supported and nurtured, your employees will be happy. The weird thing is that a lot of leaders only know how to design workplaces that create misery and then wonder what went wrong.

A great way to help keep your employees happy is to build a workplace culture where they feel like they’re important and matter. You can do this by praising people for the work they do well and giving them opportunities to share their ideas with you and grow when they want to. You can also implement a regular meeting where you share how grateful you are for everyone’s contributions.

Empathetic leaders understand that happy employees are much more present and productive, and that’s why they never stop doing things to support and nurture them.

The reason I know that it’s possible to create an organization where employees are happy is that, over the course of my consulting career, I’ve seen workplaces go from everyone being miserable to everyone feeling great.
