How to Create a Team Building Program That Yields Results

Many leaders only offer their employees occasional, superficial team building activities that don’t build a supportive and nurturing workplace culture long-term. In my experience, there is a much better approach that yields long-lasting results: weekly skill-building sessions.
You can create a team building program that yields results by facilitating weekly sessions where people learn and practice skills (like effective communication and problem solving) that help them connect and collaborate more proficiently.
When you teach your staff how to communicate effectively and solve problems collaboratively you lay the groundwork for a healthy workplace culture where people work well as a team and help each other succeed.
Over the course of my consulting career, I’ve noticed that recreational team building activities have little effect beyond superficial bonding, which is why I recommend an approach based on learning skills that actually bring people together and help them collaborate.
Let’s work together to foster a supportive and nurturing workplace culture in your organization.
