Diversity Is a Big Plus in the Workplace

So many people in leadership positions get bent out of shape about diversity in the workplace when they could be using it as a tool to move their organizations forward.
When you make use of the diverse skills, talents, worldviews, and ideas of your staff, you’ll be much more nimble because you’ll have a larger pool of resources to draw upon. It’s the difference between having one choice on a menu versus many.
Empathetic leaders understand that diversity simply adds to the effectiveness of their workplaces and they use their people’s wisdom and experience to succeed.
The reason I know diversity is a big plus is because, throughout the course of my consulting career, I’ve seen how much better organizations function when they view diversity as a resource rather than a burden.
