Just be kind—treat people well, ask for their input, listen to them, appreciate their good work, and be there for them when they need help. See your employees as people you care about and do everything in your power to make their lives easier.

Building a supportive and nurturing workplace culture means being a leader who understands that empathy and kindness yield far better results than domineering and punitive approaches.

The reason I know kindness improves workplace culture is that, throughout my consulting career, I’ve seen how much better organizations run and how much healthier they are when leadership is kind.
