Unhappy Employees Are a Reflection on Leadership

A lot of leaders are unaware or don’t care that they make their employees unhappy but, in my experience, they can foster a much better workplace culture if they support and nurture their staff.
All it takes is behaving in ways that build employees up instead of demoralizing them. Treat people with kindness and empathy, listen to them, praise their achievements, and be there for them if they need help or training. Leaders are in the unique position of modeling behaviors that set the standard for the entire company or organization.
If your workplace culture isn’t happy, you can move in a much more positive direction by simply deciding to be a supportive, nurturing leader who treats employees well and then doing small things each day to make it happen.
